Who We Are
Leadership Team
Meet Chuck Read
Co-Founder & President
Chuck and his wife, Nancie, first received a calling to serve the children of Uganda while attending the Rocky Mountain Bible Church in Frisco, Colorado. It was through this church that they traveled to Uganda for the first time in 2010. From the moment they arrived, they knew God was calling them to use their skills and love for children for His purposes – to care for the neediest of His children.
Chuck worked with Fluor Corporation for 35 years, managing engineering and construction projects around the world. His experience ranges from pipeline and marine work in Alaska to complex industrial facilities in the jungles of Mexico, the northern coast of Germany, and the outback of Australia. Chuck’s experience includes work on the world’s largest Nitrogen generation facility in Campeche, Mexico; a major $1.9 billion power generation complex outside Boston, Massachusetts; and a $5 billion iron ore mining facility in Western Australia.
Chuck has a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering from the California Polytechnic State University. He also held a General Building Contractor License (Class B) in California, and an Engineering and General Building Contractor Licenses (Class ABC) in Hawaii.
Chuck and Nancie live outside of Nashville, Tennessee for most of the year, where they attend the First Baptist Church of Hendersonville. When they aren’t traveling, they spend the rest of their time in Frisco, Colorado where they attend the Rocky Mountain Bible Church. Chuck and Nancie have been married for 17 years and have 5 children and 6 grandchildren.
