Where We Work
Busiu Zone in Uganda
While King’s Kids Africa is willing to follow the calling of God wherever He leads, our immediate focus is on continuing the legacy of the Rocky Mountain Bible Church by working with Pastor Morris Ogenga and the Presbytery of East Africa in the area of Mbale, Uganda. In fact, based on recommendations from the Presbytery, the first six King’s Kids homes were built in the Busiu zone (just outside Mbale) adjacent to the churches at Busiu B – planted by RMBC in 2009 (pastored by Benson Kisubo); Namajje – planted in 2001 (pastored by Ibrahim Masambu); Angalia – planted by RMBC in 2007 (pastored by David Buku), Lutonyi – planted by RMBC in 2010 (pastored by Paul Kirya); Bukiende – revitalized by RMBC in 2011 (pastored by Robert Mabonga); and Tuba (built outside the Busui zone) was planted in 2010 (pastored by Andrew Ocho).
Since then, we have built 7 more King’s Kids homes on local church property, including: Siira (pastored by David Sewakambo); Kachonga (pastored by Godfrey Siginyi); Milikiti (pastored by Ben Watenyili); and Kakoli (pastored by Deuson Kalimo); Budaka (pastored by Michael Wabwire); Musese (pastored by Peter Wandawa); and Bukasasky (pastored by Moses Nabende).
